More About Romance on the Road

This successful community outreach travelling production by NGCC has raised thousands of dollars for area non-profits.

In the past we have performed in Kemptville, Pierce's Corners, Richmond, Osgoode, North Gower, and Merrickville.

Each venue sells its own tickets and does its own publicity -- and reaps the profits, after paying our modest performance fee.

The past formats were very well received by audiences, so for 2026 it will remain more or less atuned: a series of short comedies intermixed with dramatic short character-based poems and possibly some songs. We try to bring you a cast with a wide age range.

ARE YOU NEW TO THEATRE AND NERVOUS ABOUT WHAT TO DO NEXT?

This is a great way to "get your feet wet" if a full-length play daunts you. Plays typically are each 5 to 10 minutes long; each has a small cast. That makes it easier for cast members to decide jointly on a rehearsal schedule. And those rehearsal schedules are less time consuming than you'd encounter in our big productions.
